Callum Wilson has spoken to TNT Sports ahead of tonight's massive fixture with AC Milan which will determine Newcastle United's Champions League fate.

Every possibility is available to Newcastle tonight, continuing in the Champions League, dropping into the Europa League and even dropping out of European competition entirely.

The main thing is avoiding defeat against AC Milan at St James' Park tonight, but ideally, obviously, Newcastle need to win. If Newcastle win and Borussia Dortmund beat Paris Saint-Germain at home too, our Champions League dream stays alive.

Callum Wilson is showing no signs of pressure

The pressure going into the game tonight must be enormous but the ever-cool Callum Wilson isn't feeling it, or at least he's not showing it.

Speaking to TNT Sports Wilson said he'd have been happy if someone had told him at the start of the season that this would be where Newcastle are going into the final group game.

“The boys and myself have worked hard to get us into this position in the first place last season and we’re here now. When the draw was given if you’d have said we’d have this opportunity on the last day we’d have took it.”

We're so close and also so far from that last 16

We're glad Wilson is happy with how things have played out, but some of us feel genuinely sick with anxiety ahead of tonight.

Even though I played down the expectations on us going into this campaign given that we've arrived at this point much sooner than we'd planned to, when you're in it and the dream is still within reach, to lose it on the last game would just suck.

We're not expecting to go on and win the Champions League, but to be able to say we got into the last 16 on our first attempt would be huge.
