Given everything that was at stake on Sunday it was little surprise that the game between Newcastle United and Chelsea got a little bit spicy at times.

Nicolas Jackson was shown a straight red card after a VAR review deemed he had indeed landed a forearm smash into the face of Sven Botman.

Aside from that incident, though, Anthony Gordon was being continuously kicked to death with Moises Caicedo somehow avoiding a yellow card despite his many assaults.

However, the biggest battle was between Bruno Guimaraes and Enzo Fernandez. The classic Brazil v Argentina rivalry was in full swing on the St James' Park pitch.

From Bruno with love

While it never got beyond fiercely competitive between the two, Bruno Guimaraes still decided to stoke the fires after he scored his 90th-minute goal.

What was missed by the TNT Sports cameras was Bruno blowing a kiss to his adversary as he walked back for the kickoff.

It was a delightful piece of outhousery by the captain, and given the 2-0 lead and the little time left, it was one that was very unlikely to backfire.

We were starting to worry that Bruno could lose his head

This is just another reason we absolutely adore Bruno Guimaraes. He's out there for Newcastle United, himself, and his family, and everyone else is just in his way, and he's not afraid to let them know it.

Recently, the captain has been losing his head late in games when things haven't been going our way, and it was looking like things were heading that way again before he scored.

Thankfully, he found the best way to channel that frustration this time.
