Sky Sports News presenter Pete Graves has never hidden his love of Newcastle United but just in case you needed a reminder, he provided one before the birds were even chirping this morning.

The Newcastle United and Adidas partnership officially got underway yesterday with the launch of the 2024/25 home kit as well as a whole range of training wear.

Fans were queuing around the block to be one of the first to get into the temporary club shop to get their paws on the new gear, with one fan having camped out since midnight to ensure they'd be first through the door.

In fact, the launch was such a big deal, the new kit has taken centre-stage at Gatwick Airport in London.

We are taking over London

Pete Graves posted a snap of the new kit in pride of place at Gatwick's JD Sports store with the reporter coupling the image with a strong flex.

"Smack bang at the front of @Gatwick_Airport in London this morning. We are MASSIVE (purchased the entire look obviously)"

JD Sports is the official retail partner of Newcastle United now meaning you'll only find our kits on sale in Newcastle United club shops, Adidas stores and JD Sports stores both in-store and online for all three retailers.

Pics or it didn't happen, Pete

I think I speak for everyone when I say we need proof of purchase by Pete Graves. We need to see him going full-dork with the entire ensemble as evidence.

Adidas fever still has a tight grip on the Geordies as we await the launch of the away and third kits as well as the much-anticipated retro range, there seems to be a particular interest in the retro-inspired shirt worn by local music artist CASISDEAD in the announcement video.

It looks even better in full colour in the behind-the-scenes video the club released this morning.
