Sweden took on Slovakia in the Nations League last night as Newcastle United's Alexander Isak went up against teammate Martin Dubravka.

It was Isak who emerged victorious on the night as Sweden won 2-1 with Slovakia having a man sent off in the dying moments of the match.

Isak made it five goals in as many games for club and country on Saturday night slotting beyond Newcastle's number two goalkeeper, Martin Dubravka to seal the win.

The £63 million man also laid on the assist for Sweden's first goal which was scored by reported Newcastle target Viktor Gyokeres who, like Isak, can't stop scoring at the minute.

Isak and Gyokeres linked up to score with just 3 minutes on the clock

It took just three minutes for Sweden to take the lead after Isak put on a defence-splitting ball for Gyokeres to run onto.

Gyokeres took the pass in his stride while taking two defenders out of the game before firing low and hard into the bottom corner. If there was any hope in hell of Newcastle getting Gyokeres to team up with Isak the Premier League would have to just hand us the title straight away.

As much as we bleat on about Jonathan David coming to Newcastle, we'd happily leave him to someone else if we thought Gyokeres was a real option.

Alexander Isak is unstoppable

David Hancko equalised for Slovakia after 18 minutes, but much like in the first half, it only took a couple of minutes into the second half for Sweden to be back in front, and it was Alexander Isak who got the goal on 48 minutes.

Isak's lanky legs did all the work for him on this one as a poor pass was played to him in the area, but because of his Inspector Gadget-like reach he was able to bring the ball under his control and fire a rocket of a shot beyond Dubravka from six yards out.

There is just no stopping Isak right now.
