Unlikely Newcastle United fan Toni Kroos is braced for an 'in-house battle' this weekend as Magpies take on Liverpool
Former Germany superstar Toni Kroos recently declared his love for Newcastle United after watching the Magpies in action against Liverpool in August.
The former Real Madrid man fell in love with Newcastle's style of play and the atmosphere the Toon Army created at St James' Park and became a Mags+ member immediately after.
On Saturday, the reverse fixture is coming up with Newcastle taking on Liverpool at Anfield at 8 pm on Saturday night.
Toni Kroos is looking forward to the game, but has a rivalry brewing in the house that is sure to make things interesting.

Once again speaking on his brother's podcast (who also became a Mags+ member after that game), Kroos spoke about how his son has become a huge Liverpool fan, but Toni will be sporting the black and white on Saturday.
“The next game is Liverpool against our Newcastle United, where we’re [Kroos and his brother], of course, still Gold members, and I’m really looking forward to it. So I checked which games are happening this weekend, and I saw Liverpool vs. Newcastle.
“I’ll tell you one thing: it’s going to be a world-class atmosphere here at home, because Leon (his son) has really become a big Liverpool fan now.
“Yeah. He’s got the Wirtz jersey now, and of course, I won’t sit next to him; I’ll be wearing my Dan Burn jersey. Saturday evening is going to be a war, an in-house battle.”

We absolutely love that, not only does Kroos have a Newcastle shirt, but he chose Dan Burn's name and number to get on the back. The boyhood Toon fan must be loving that.
