West Ham United will play gracious hosts to Newcastle United on Sunday afternoon in the Sky Sports televised 2pm kick-off in the Premier League.

Newcastle are coming into the game off the back of three wins in a row, while West Ham's fortunes couldn't be much worse.

The Magpies have yet to win on the road in the Premier League this season, but West Ham haven't won at the London Stadium since February, so something's got to give on Sunday. Unless we are forced to witness another draw away from home.

Eddie Howe has got his team creating better chances, finally, and that should help them to at the very least make it a score-draw, which would be a novelty.

Chris Sutton is backing a Toon win

The predictionists aren't banking on a draw, though. Paul Merson backed the Mags to win, and Chris Sutton has predicted an away win for the BBC too.

"Newcastle marched on in the Carabao Cup in midweek and, after winning it last season and ending their long wait for silverware, I am starting to think about whether Eddie Howe can get his hands on another trophy.

"West Ham, in contrast, are in deep trouble. Nuno Espirito Santo had a free week to work on things on the training ground but whoever he picks, it doesn't seem to make much difference.

"The Hammers concede a lot of goals from set-plays and I feel as if Newcastle are going to just be too strong for them in every area.

It's surely got to be an away win for Newcastle on Sunday

Everything is suggesting it's going to be another three points for Newcastle on Sunday, and we have no reason to expect otherwise.

Another away draw wouldn't be a disaster, but this one is primed for a Toon win, so let's go get it.

Besides, it's about time we went on a run of wins; them lot down the road are getting too cocky.
