Tino Livramento and Lewis Hall have both established themselves as first-team players since their arrival at Newcastle United and both have also gone on to represent England at the senior level.

The two players were already familiar with each other before Newcastle having both come through the academy at Chelsea.

Livramento moved on to Southampton before he joined Newcastle in a £32 million move while the Magpies acquired Hall from Chelsea for an initial season-long loan which contained an obligation to buy for £28 million, rising to a possible £35 million.

Both players had to bide their time to get into the first-team with Tino competing with Kieran Trippier and Hall simply not being up to Eddie Howe's lofty standards for the first few months of his time in the North East.

Tino Livramento didn't speak to Lewis Hall for two weeks when he joined Newcastle

You'd think, with their pre-existing relationship, that Tino Livramento would have put his arm around Hall when he arrived, but in an interview with the BBC, he admitted that he barely even talked to his former Chelsea teammate for two weeks.

Hall: “He didn’t speak to me for like the first two weeks I was here.”
Livramento: “Do you want to know why, yeah? So obviously he’s been at Chelsea for his whole career, so I thought, I’ve left, I’ve been to Southampton, it’s my second move coming to Newcastle. It’s good for him to experience that, first off on his own for a bit, find his feet, see what it’s all about. Obviously, when I’ve seen him in training, I was giving him a bit, making him feel comfortable.”

Tino Livramento called Lewis Hall 'childish'

We imagine that Livramento doesn't have 'Live, Laugh, Love' stencilled on his living room walls, but 'You have to be cruel to be kind'.

Livramento admits he did reach out to Hall to ask if he was joining and Hall simply replied with the eyes emoji which Livramento called out as being 'childish'.

You can tell from their interaction that the two are really good mates. It's great seeing behind the scenes and seeing just how well the squad clicks together. Now, can you all just do it on the pitch, please?
