As was the case before the game on Friday, England boss Thomas Tuchel had to trim a couple of names from his 26-man squad to name 23 for the World Cup qualifying match.

England take on Latvia at Wembley tonight but will have to do so without Anthony Gordon who has returned to Tyneside after picking up a hip injury during the game against Albania on Friday.

Gordon's injury looked to be a serious one at the time but word has since come out that it's perhaps not as bad as first feared.

We're still awaiting an official update, but there's now a feeling that we'll see Gordon back in action sooner rather than later.

Tino Livramento isn't involved in the match-day squad for England tonight

One player we won't see in action for England tonight is Tino Livramento after Thomas Tuchel excluded him from the match-day squad as reported in The Chronicle.

Livramento was an unused substitute on Friday but won't even make the bench for the game against Latvia.

It's another blow to the Newcastle full-back who suffered a similar fate with England under Lee Carsley, having to watch from the sidelines.

We expect Dan Burn will be on the bench for England tonight

Dan Burn, who played 90 minutes for his country on his debut on Friday is still named in the squad, but we expect that Tuchel will mix things up a bit and we wouldn't be surprised to see Burn on the bench tonight.

The games have come in quick succession and the giant Newcastle defender did drop off the pace slightly in the second half on Friday.

He may make an appearance off the bench to nab his second cap, but we're sure that whatever happens tonight, you'll not be able to wipe that smile of BDB's face.
