Bruno Guimaraes almost always takes the time to acknowledge a Newcastle United win on social media and following Newcastle's 4-1 despatch of Manchester United, the skipper pointed out three things that make Newcastle great.

The Brazilian has absolutely fallen in love with Newcastle not just as a football club, but as a city and as a people. He has said many times that he is an adopted Geordie and his sons are Geordies too.

His passionate celebration following his goal against Manchester United showed just how much he loves the club, pointing to the badge and down to the ground to suggest this is where he belongs.

The Newcastle skipper had long been part of intense speculation over his next step in his career, but it's clear from those scenes that right now, he doesn't see himself playing anywhere else.

"This team, these fans, and this stadium" Bruno is loving life at Newcastle

To reinforce the point, though, Bruno took to Instagram after the match to deliver a message to the fans.

"This team, these fans, and this stadium! Three very important points and we keep going in pursuit of our goals. One game at a time, always. Howay the boys. Thank you, Jesus, for everything you do in my life. 🖤🤍3️⃣9️⃣"

Newcastle go again on Wednesday night in a 7:30pm kick-off against Crystal Palace live on Sky Sports, and with this team and these fans, there's nothing to say it won't be another three points in the bag.

Newcastle are eyeing third place as their good form continues

As expected there were a few teammates in Bruno's comments praising the skipper as well as Alan Shearer who was on cloud nine after another big win.

A win on Wednesday would see Newcastle move into third place with a two-point lead over Nottingham Forest, but thanks to superior goal difference, even a draw would see us swap places with the East Midlands side.

At one point they looked like they wouldn't be caught and that we were playing for fourth place at best, but all that has changed thanks to four league wins in a row.
