April was a big month for Newcastle United as they continued their winning ways after lifting the Carabao Cup in March.
The Magpies only fell to one defeat last month, falling 4-1 to Aston Villa away, but as Eddie Howe spent a chunk of the month away from the dugout after being hospitalised with pneumonia, Jason Tindall kept the team ticking over.
Thanks to the impressive winning streak Eddie Howe has been nominated for Manager of the Month for April, although we're sure that should the Newcastle boss scoop the award, he'll be the first to point out that Jason Tindall played no small part in the team's success.
Newcastle also had plenty of players who put in some top performances last month which is why two Newcastle men have been nominated for Player of the Month.
You can vote for Eddie Howe here, with the Premier League explaining their nomination by virtue of the Magpies being the highest scorers last month.
Eddie Howe (Newcastle)

Howe’s Newcastle were the division's highest scorers across the month, with 18 goals from six matches that included wins over Brentford, Leicester City, Man Utd, Crystal Palace and Ipswich. Those results helped take them up to third in the table.
It's a bit unfair that Tindall doesn't even get a cursory mention, but that's why we're here.
Meanwhile, Newcastle have two nominees for Player of the Month, with Jacob Murphy and Harvey Barnes being selected for nomination. You can vote for your choice here.
Both wingers were in scintillating form last month, but our nod has to go to Harvey Barnes, who came into the side to replace the suspended Anthony Gordon and has kept the England winger out of the side ever since, thanks to his goals and assists.
Here's what the Premier League website had to say on our duo.
Harvey Barnes (Newcastle)

Barnes enjoyed an excellent month for Newcastle United, as he directly contributed to six goals, scoring four and setting up two. Barnes began April with an assist in a 2-1 win over Brentford before scoring in a 3-0 victory over former club Leicester. The midfielder then struck twice in a 4-1 success over Manchester United and found the net again as Crystal Palace were defeated 5-0. He provided another assist in a 4-1 loss at Aston Villa.
Jacob Murphy (Newcastle)

The Newcastle star continued his electric form with goal contributions in four of his six matches as the Magpies finished the month third in the table and firmly in the race for a UEFA Champions League place. Murphy started April by assisting Alexander Isak for the opening goal in a 2-1 win over Brentford. He followed that up with a brace as Newcastle beat Leicester 3-0, but perhaps his standout performance came with a goal and assist in a thumping 5-0 victory over Palace.
