Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler has already tasted victory on Tyneside and will be hoping to do so again on Sunday as the Seagulls face Newcastle United in the FA Cup in the 1:45pm kick-off live on ITV.

Danny Welbeck's 35th minute goal was all it took for Brighton to take the three points from St James' Park in October, which was Fabian Hurzeler's first experience of the Newcastle atmosphere.

Newcastle may not have been on their game that day, but the German came away with a taste of what the Toon Army can deliver, and that's obviously playing on his mind heading into Sunday.

While Hurzeler is still playing guessing games over what attacking force his Brighton side are due to face, that's just one of the issues his side will have to contend with.

Fabian Hurzeler is worried about the St James' Park crowd

Speaking to the media ahead of the game, Hurzeler touched on the job his players have ahead of them trying to silence the St James' Park crowd.

“They have a very athletic, a very dynamic team. A lot of players who have high speed numbers who can run a lot and that's something special and therefore they can play very intense.

“We have to be ready for that. Then on top of that, they have the 12th man with the fans.

“They can support them in an unbelievable way, so it's our job to make them silent as best as possible, and this will be the challenge for us.”

If St James' Park is rocking on Sunday then Newcastle can use that to coast to victory

Hopefully the St James' Park crowd will be up for it before, during and after kick-off as there have been times this season where the crowd have let the uncertainty of the players on the pitch quieten them down when perhaps they were needed the most.

An atmosphere like the one created against Arsenal would practically guarantee us progression through to the quarter finals.

Let's hear the Geordie Roar!
