Manchester United host Newcastle United at Old Trafford on Monday night in an 8pm kick-off live on Sky Sports.

Ruben Amorim's men come into this one having been beaten 2-0 by Wolverhampton Wanderers who kicked off that game in the relegation zone.

Meanwhile, Newcastle have hit their stride after several false starts and made light work of 10-man Aston Villa at St James' Park on Boxing day.

The contrast in form is massive and hopefully, that will be a big factor in how things turn out on the night.

Andre Onana is looking very dodgy lately

Chris Sutton hasn't held back with his opinion of Manchester United

Chris Sutton certainly believes it will. In his score prediction for the BBC, Newcastle barely get a mention as he boots the boot in hard on Manchester United and we are 100% here for it. GO ON, SUTTON, LAD!

"I said before Christmas that I thought Newcastle would hit their stride and they have done exactly that. The way they are playing, they should win at Old Trafford and make it four league wins in a row.

"Manchester United's form is the exact opposite. I am not concerned about Amorim getting the sack but it really does not help when your goalkeeper keeps on conceding goals direct from a corner - that is under-12s stuff.

"I remember it happening when I was watching my son play when he was about 15 and he got done off a corner. I told him you would never see it happen to a professional goalkeeper, but it has happened twice in two weeks to Manchester United - first to Altay Bayindir and then Andre Onana. You could not make it up.

"I need to apologise here though, because I was far too kind to Manchester United last week when I said they would get a draw at Wolves.

"Their fans give me so much stick on social media whenever I say they will lose that it must have got to me a bit - I have become a bit of a chicken and have put them down to get a draw when my gut feeling has been for them to lose.

"That has got to stop, because they are rubbish. That is not on Amorim because we will judge him when he has a chance to bring in his own players but, for now, we have to see them for what they are, which is a really poor side.

"Sutton's prediction: 1-2"

I'm loving the decline of Manchester United. Call me bitter, I don't care

Being a man of a particular age, I had to endure the Manchester United glory years and all the crap that came with it, so I've been loving the decline since Sir Alex Ferguson left, and it's absolutely great to see pundits and journalists finally calling them out. For too long they could do no wrong.

That being said, I wouldn't mind at all if Newcastle ended up being as insufferably good as they were back in the day. Bring on the glory supporters with deep pockets to keep pumping money into the club. They can be as plastic as they like as long as they spend money at the club shop.

Let's hope that Sutton has called this one right.
