Alexander Isak's future is still being debated by journalists and pundits despite there being zero hints that the Swedish striker is anything but fully committed to Newcastle United.

Isak has already lifted a trophy with Newcastle, and the team is far from the level it's expected to get to, so the future at the club is a project that any player would want to be a part of.

Selling star players such as Isak, Bruno Guimaraes or Sandro Tonali makes so little sense for a club that is trying to work towards a future in which they are competing for honours every season.

However, because the media have their little favourites, it kills them to see a world-class player at a club that isn't part of their little cabal.

Alexander Isak - Not for sale

Simon Jordan gets it spot-on about Alexander Isak and Liverpool

Controversial TalkSPORT host Simon Jordan has a habit of rubbing fans the wrong way with his no-nonsense approach to things, but he's got it absolutely spot on with his latest rant as reported by Newcastle World.

Taking aim at the rumours Liverpool will offer Jarell Quansah and/or Joe Gomez into a deal to try and land Alexander Isak, the former Crystal Palace owner has dismantled the claim brilliantly.

“In order to get to the top they need turnovers as big as Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City,” Jordan said. “They can’t get it because they’re restricted from doing so. The only way they can get it is through sporting attainment and they can’t get sporting attainment because they can’t spend money due to PSR. So around and around they go.

“The legacy clubs? I don’t think they have the dough. If they want to buy Isak, they’re going to have to pay north of £125million. Barcelona don’t have the dough to do it. I’m not even sure Real Madrid have.

“And about players being thrown into the mix… why would they want to sell Isak to Liverpool to get Gomez and Quansah? You’re losing a forward to replace him with a defender. There’s your answer to that question. With all due respect to Newcastle, if one of the legacy clubs come, you’re going to be so disappointed when your player turns around and goes ‘I have an ear for this’.”

More people need to call out these crazy rumours

We need more people with a following to start calling out these mad rumours for what they are like Jordan has here. When something doesn't make sense, call it out.

It doesn't matter how badly Newcastle need defensive reinforcements, sacrificing their star striker to get them is just a backwards thought.

The cartel needs to come to terms with the fact that Newcastle aren't letting Isak go, especially to one of them, and that Newcastle are coming for them. It may take longer than we'd hoped thanks to your PSR and APT rules, but we're coming!
