It's going to be a tough game for Newcastle United at the Parc de Princes tonight as Paris Saint-Germain look to make amends for their hammering at St James' Park.

Newcastle won their home tie against tonight's opponents 4-1 sending shockwaves through the Champions League. PSG have had to wait a while, but they will be out for vengeance tonight there's no doubt about it.

Eddie Howe has taken as many players as he possibly can to Paris but still may not be able to put out a full bench thanks to UEFA's rules on homegrown players.

Newcastle had a weak bench on Saturday and that didn't matter

However, it's the eleven on the pitch when that first whistle blows that matters, much like it was against Chelsea on Saturday, and that turned out okay.

There is one thing for Newcastle fans to cling on to heading into tonight's game and that's that it looks like Newcastle will not be wearing their green kit.

Newcastle's U19's kicked off against PSG U19's today wearing the black and white kit so it's logical to expect that the senior squad will do the same tonight.

The green kit has been a curse for Newcastle this season with the bulk of our points dropped while wearing the green and white change kit.

Superstitions exist for a reason

It's a stunning strip to look at, but it sends shivers down the spine when the players come out onto the pitch wearing it.

Tonight is already going to be a tough game so adding a cursed kit into the mix would really put fans on edge.

This might sound daft to some, but we promise we're not superstitious, but we are a little stitious.
