Newcastle United barely put up a fight as their dream of retaining the Carabao Cup ended in Manchester last night.
Manchester City educated Newcastle at the Etihad Stadium last night as they looked better in every aspect of the game.
I mean, if we had a squad as impressive as theirs, then maybe we'd have put up much more of a fight. Let's not forget there's a huge gulf in the quality of players available to each manager.
Still, Newcastle looked terrified of their opposition last night, particularly in the first half. But the game was completely gone by the time the teams took to the field for the second half, and City didn't need to get out of first gear.
