Sven Botman says he is looking forward to the future after committing to Newcastle United with new contract
When Ross Wilson came in as sporting director, it was claimed that his first big business would be to tie down Tino Livramento, Sandro Tonali and Sven Botman to new deals.
That trio of players were thought to be the most important players on shorter contracts and the most at risk of being swayed by outside bids.
It has since been revealed that Sandro Tonali actually signed a contract extension when he was banned for 10-months shortly after signing for Newcastle.
Tino Livramento has put talks on hold until the end of the season, with Manchester City and Arsenal both keen on the England man, which is a huge worry for Newcastle.
