Start spreadin' the news: Newcastle 2024/25 Adidas away shirt spotted in the wild ahead of official launch
Newcastle United have yet to officially unveil the 2024/25 Adidas away kit despite plenty of leaks .
Much like the home and third shirts, images of the away kit have been doing the round on the internet for a while now, but it hasn't forced the club's hand into accelerating their release schedule or indeed their promotional material.
The home kit, the first as part of the new partnership with Adidas was very well received with fans queueing around the block to be the first to get their hands on the new merchandise.
The away kit was scheduled to be released this month, so with just 10 days remaining, we can't be far away from the launch date.
The away shirt is on racks in New York, New York
In fact, the maroon and blue hooped shirt, a call back to the first away kit released by Adidas when they partnered with Newcastle United in 1995, has been spotted in-store already thanks to The Kitman website.
A photo from the Adidas store in New York, of all places, has shown the shirt on a mannequin in front of a rack full of shirts.
However, while the mannequin is sporting what we expect to be the correct socks for the kit, it is decked out in black shorts while we suspect the actual kit will be complete with white shorts.
An official release date must be close
Whether the New York store has just got over-eager or this was a deliberate ploy to gain attention, who knows?
It does suggest, however, that Newcastle fans can likely expect a formal announcement about a launch date very soon.
We will never financially recover from this summer.
