Chris Sutton has once again made his prediction for the next round of fixtures which includes Newcastle United's trip to Everton.

Former Blackburn forward and strike partner of the one and only Alan Shearer has once again tried to predict the scores in the next round of fixtures being played throughout this week.

Newcastle travel to Goodison Park on Thursday night for a 7:30pm kick-off live on Prime Video.

Hopefully Gordon will keep his head

The main talking point will be, of course, Anthony Gordon's return to Goodison Park after he handed in a transfer request and walked away from the club at their lowest low.

It's not going to be the warmest of welcomes for him on his return, but how he handles the stick will likely make or break Newcastle on the night and that's something that Chris Sutton has contemplated in his prediction for the BBC.

"This should be a really good game. between two teams who will throw everything at it.

"Everton's home form is not great, but they have total belief in their approach under Sean Dyche and they play like they share the same cause.

"But Newcastle's unity is also great to see - they are all in with Eddie Howe and fully invested in his playing style as well.

"I was tempted to go for a draw but with former Everton winger Anthony Gordon going back to Goodison Park, I have a sneaky feeling he might make the difference.

"Sutton's prediction: 1-2"

Who needs a fit squad anyway?

Gordon's grown a lot since he arrived on Tyneside in January, and we back him to handle himself maturely and let his football do the talking.

If that does prove to be the case, then Newcastle will surely come away with all three points on Thursday night.

Howay Eddie Howe's one-winged, bong-eyed, legless Mags!
