If you speak to anybody with an interest in football right now, they're likely to have an opinion on the Alexander Isak, Yoane Wissa, Newcastle United situation.

Two strikers connected with Newcastle who have gone on strike to force a move. Isak wants away from Newcastle, and Wissa wants to join them.

In both cases, the selling clubs are standing firm with high asking prices, and both clubs want a replacement in before they sell.

Both players have taken questionable stances and employed shady tactics to try and force the issue, too.

Jamie O'Hara says Newcastle and Brentford should thank their strikers and let them move on

Jamie O'Hara, famous for partnering relentless motormouth Jason Cundy on TalkSPORT, has been talking about the situation with Sky Sports, where he's essentially told Newcastle and Brentford to lower their asking prices.

O'Hara's argument is that a player's career is short, and if they want to move to a bigger and better club, they should be allowed to. He also claims that when it's the club that wants rid of the player, fans are first to say that they should just take a low offer to get them out.

In some respects, O'Hara is right in what he's saying, but Magpie 24/7 were very quick to dig up a clip of O'Hara talking about Harry Kane leaving Tottenham, and suddenly he was all about getting the most for Spurs' star player.

It was a nice little bit of hypocrisy on display

Newcastle values Alexander Isak at £150 million. They know he'll end up going for less than that; that's why they put it so high to leave room for negotiation, but it will be a £100 million plus fee if he goes this summer.

There's nothing wrong with Newcastle wanting to maximise their profit, even if the player is trying to move away. It was alright for O'Hara when Tottenham were doing it over Harry Kane, but suddenly, he's got an issue with it.

Of course, everybody is entitled to change their mind, but this was weapons-grade hypocrisy on full display.
