Sky Sports commentators mentioned mind-blowing stat regarding Bruno Guimaraes during WHUFC v NUFC on Monday

Sky Sports' commentators Seb Hutchinson and Alan Smith had plenty of time to reel off random stats during the match between West Ham United and Newcastle United as it was a game largely devoid of incident.

Shots were few and far between, and other than a little flashpoint at the end of the first half, there wasn't much to get riled up about.

So when they were talking about certain stats, one really stood out and that was how many fouls Bruno Guimaraes has won this season.

We all know how good Bruno is at drawing fouls, particularly late in the game when the Magpies are protecting a lead, but just how many fouls he's won compared to other players is actually astounding.

Bruno Guimaraes is miles ahead at the top of the most-fouled player list

Bruno Guimaraes sits atop of the list of most-fouled players in the Premier League this season with Anthony Gordon sitting in second spot.

However, it's the gap between them that is totally astonishing. According to Statmuse, Bruno has been fouled a whopping 91 times while second placed Gordon has won 58 along with Wolves' Matheus Cunha.

We're not sure when that list was last updated as we're sure that Sky Sports had Bruno's count in the 90's last night, so he may have added a couple more during last night's match.

Bruno does have a habit of holding on to the ball for a bit too long, so it's not surprising that he draws so many fouls, but as frustrating as it can be at times, at least he's ultimately keeping possession.

We just can't get over the fact that he's been fouled over 30 times more than the next player on the list. What is he saying to these opponents to make them kick him so much?

It's usually seen as a compliment when you're fouled so often, it means that the opposition is scared of you. Well, our opponents must be terrified of Bruno!
