Eddie Howe has named his Newcastle United side to take on Arsenal in the early kick-off at St James' Park, live on TNT Sports - kick-off is at 12:30pm.

We weren't too confident in our picks with our team prediction yesterday but we absolutely nailed it in the end.

Sandro Tonali has been dropped to the bench after taking part in both fixtures against Chelsea while Bruno Guimaraes replaces him in the middle of the park with Sean Longstaff and Joe Willock either side of him.

It looks as though Joelinton will start wide left again with Anthony Gordon wide right with Alexander Isak in the middle.

Tino Livramento replaces Emil Krafth as expected with Dan Burn stepping back in ahead of Lloyd Kelly.

Joe Willock keeps his place in the starting lineup

There were a few different ideas that we kicked around the office but we put ourselves into the mind of Eddie Howe and we got it spot on.

We tried to will a Joe Willock start into being and it worked.

It's a strong bench, too with Harvey Barnes, Tonali and Lewis Miley able to affect the game late on.

Mikel Merino starts for Arsenal making his return to St James' Park

Gabriel was a doubt for Arsenal heading into the game but he's been deemed fit enough to start in defence alongside William Saliba.

Former Magpie Mikel Merino returns to St James' Park and will be on from the start. It'll be interesting to see what kind of reception the fan-favourite will receive after his way-too-brief spell on Tyneside.

Arsenal have plenty of danger men with Kai Havertz, Leandro Trossard and Bukayo Saka all starting.

LFG!!! Howay the lads!
