Newcastle United's name has once again cropped up alongside that of Barcelona winger Raphinha.
The former Leeds United winger moved to Barcelona in 2022 for around £55million and reports of him being unsettled have been rife, even though it was his dream move.
Raphinha has been in and out of the Barcelona side and hasn't managed to secure a solid starting spot, and because of that SPORT is reporting that Barcelona may now be willing to sell.
This has alerted Newcastle who have been linked with the Brazilian many times in the past, as well as Chelsea who like to buy anyone who has ever put on a pair of football boots and called themselves a midfielder.
SPORT believe that Barcelona will consider Raphinha's future in the summer, giving him time to turn things around in Spain before making a decision.
Newcastle could really do with another high-quality right winger to challenge Miguel Almiron and having someone of Raphinha's quality would be outstanding.
Kalvin Phillips, who is linked with a January move to Newcastle, once called Raphinha 'unbelievable' and Leeds United fans won't have a bad word said about him.
His form in his final season at Leeds kept them in the Premier League almost single-handedly, so we know he has what it takes, even if he can't quite find his feet in La Liga.
As long as Barca don't ask silly money for him in the summer then Newcastle should be all over this move and beating Chelsea to his signature would be a huge statement by the club.
