Report reaffirms Newcastle United's stance on Alexander Isak as rumours continue to rumble on

Until Alexander Isak is pictured signing a new deal at Newcastle United and is captured in 4K saying that he has no intention of leaving the club, then rumours about his future are going to persist.

Let's be honest, not even both of those things happening will stop the media from making things up. It's just a sad reality that we as Newcastle fans have to deal with.

The 25-year-old scored 23 Premier League goals last season, and though he couldn't seem to hit a barn door from three yards in the final few games of the campaign, it didn't seem to put Liverpool off coveting the striker this summer.

The Athletic have reiterated Newcastle's position on Alexander Isak

Some reports are still trying to keep Arsenal's name in the frame, but they are being massively drowned out by the noise from Anfield. Fortunately for Newcastle, they have no reason to sell Isak this summer.

The Sweden international still has three years remaining on his deal, and as confirmed once again by 0, talks are expected to continue over a new deal later this summer.

Additionally, they also state that nobody has made an actual offer for Isak as things stand, and honestly, we'd be shocked if anyone even tries. Newcastle's stance is clear and everyone knows the money that would be involved to even move the needle on that front, so it's highly unlikely that any club would even waste their time.

Newcastle are under no pressure to sell

We are 100% certain that nothing can stop the rumour mill, but as long as outlets like The Athletic continue to drop truth bombs like this, Newcastle fans can keep relatively calm knowing that we aren't selling our top stars.

It's not just Isak, but the club are under no pressure to sell this summer, which means we'll be keeping hold of Bruno Guimaraes, Sandro Tonali, Anthony Gordon and Tino Livramento, who have all been linked with other clubs.

Some first-team players are likely to leave, but we're talking about players on the fringes such as Sean Longstaff, Joe Willock and Matt Targett. As long as they are replaced somehow, we can afford to let them leave.
