Newcastle United will have their eyes on a few recruits next month in order to rescue their season after a string of poor results.
Eddie Howe's men have been dumped out of two cups and lost to Premier League relegation favourites Luton Town in less than two weeks and now Newcastle's season is looking pretty bleak.
Thankfully the January transfer window is just around the corner and it's believed that the PIF will be backing Howe in the window once again.
Newcastle have had a rotten time of it with injuries this season and arguably haven't been able to field their best XI since the season started.
One area that has been sorely lacking in terms of backup this season is striker with both first-team centre forwards Callum Wilson and Alexander Isak out injured at the same time for a short spell, and now both are back, neither seems 100%.
That's why it's believed that Newcastle will look to Bundesliga sensation Serhou Guirassy in January with Fussbol Transfers (via Sports Witness) claiming that Newcastle are 'intensively involved' in negotiations with VfB Stuttgart for the 27-year-old Guinean forward.
Only Harry Kane has more goals in the Bundesliga than Guirassy this season and as a result he's garnered a lot of attention from the Premier League with Manchester United also linked with a move.
However, the Sports Witness report mentions that Guirassy would prefer a move to St James' Park above other options right now.
Fingers crossed we may actually get some transfer business done early which would be exactly what we need. We can't afford to play games and wait around, we need to move fast and get this season back on track.
