Newcastle United are reportedly eyeing a move for Juventus defender Dean Huijsen in the summer transfer window, reports suggest.

The 19-year-old spent the season out on loan at AS Roma and made an impression which has caught they eye the Magpies and their Champions League group stage opponents Borussia Dortmund.

After his impressive loan spell there will also surely be interest from Roma's end who may have a future fee included as part of his loan deal.

The reports suggest that Newcastle could hold an advantage due to their financial muscle.

Huijsen would cost Newcastle £26m

According to a report from 3AddedMinutes, Newcastle would have no issue with meeting Juve's £25.5million asking price for the Spanish U21's international.

Despite playing just 14 games for Roma this season Juventus have seen the potential for profit in the 19-year-old. The Old Lady has been experiencing issues with finances over the last year and may be forced to sell their best assets this summer to recuperate losses.

Huijsen could be one of many players to leave the club this season.

Newcastle also interested in Federico Chiesa

Previously reported by Sport Witness last month, the Magpies are also eyeing a move for Juventus winger Federico Chiesa who could be available for a reduced fee with his contract expiring next summer.

The Italian international has kept up his good form this season, netting nine times in 33 Serie A games.

Although Newcastle shouldn't be in the market for a left winger, the arrival of Chiesa means that Anthony Gordon could be moved over to the right, where he has played and looked comfortable previously.

As it stands, no approach has been made for Huijsen or Chiesa.
