Sporting CP defender Ousmane Diomande is at the "top of the list" for players to sell this summer amid interest from Newcastle United.

The 20-year-old has been linked with a move away all season and after a poor end to the campaign, Sporting are looking to cash in.

Diomande has a £68million release clause but it is thought that he could go for significantly less than that.

The arrival of Diomande would accompany those of Lloyd Kelly and Tosin Adarabioyo who look set to join the Magpies on a free this summer.

At 20, Diomande has bags of experience

This season alone, Diomande has played in Liga Portugal, the Europa League and the African Cup of Nations.

The Ivory Coast international made 26 league appearances helping Sporting win the title, he was also a part of the squad that won the African Cup of Nations and finalists of the Taca De Portugal.

This amount of experience at such a young age could be perfect should he join Newcastle. It could help him get up to speed with Premier League life a lot quicker than most.

Deals for Kelly and Adarabioyo close to completion

Newcastle have been in the market for a new centre-back already. Deals for Bournemouth's Lloyd Kelly and Fulham's Tosin Adarabioyo look set to be complete.

The Magpies are facing some last-minute competition from Chelsea and Manchester United for the signature of Tosin, with the hope that a lack of European football won't lure the 26-year-old away from the club.

Kelly has reportedly agreed a deal to join Newcastle this summer once his contract expires.
