We've crunched the numbers and Newcastle United supporters are set for a whopping 3,815 miles of travel to cheer on the lads in the Premier League this season, as the crow flies. This equates to an average of 201 miles for each away game, which is more than enough for a cracking day trip to Edinburgh.

Our away supporters enjoyed plenty of cracking days out last year, though, with a tally of eight wins, eight draws, and a mere three losses on the road in the 2022/23 season. This equalled Newcastle's most successful Premier League season in terms of away points (32) and was our second-highest count of Premier League away goals (also 32). We even remained unbeaten in seven trips down to London!

This season, our shortest jaunt is to Burnley in Lancashire (94 miles), and this is the only trip clocking in at under 100 miles. The longest haul once again is down to Bournemouth on the south coast (302 miles). This barely pips Brighton & Hove Albion (299 miles) to the top spot, with Crystal Palace (263), Fulham (256), and Chelsea (256) making up the remainder of the top five longest journeys we'll make in 2023/24.

Let's hope the lads and lasses who routinely follow NUFC on the road get a similar return to last season!
