Newcastle United put four goals past Manchester United at St James' Park on Sunday and probably could have had more if they'd felt like it.

Man United were poor, there's no doubt about that, but Newcastle were absolutely class. The Magpies just wanted it more and we, like, you know, able to stay on their feet, something that the Man United players really struggled with.

Sandro Tonali quite frankly took the mick out of Man United's players all game, with his sensational controlled volley that he fired beyond Altay Bayindir and the absolutely ridiculous gut-busting run on 88 minutes from deep inside his own half to the Man United box.

However, while watching everything he did on the ball was enthralling, there was a moment we missed right before Newcastle's fourth goal that truly shows how well he can read the game.

Sandro Tonali saw the goal coming long before everyone else

One of the things that makes Tonali so good is his ability to anticipate what's coming next and act before his opponents, and he took that to whole new levels on Sunday.

As Altay Bayindir failed his audition to replace Andre Onana with a poor clearance, Joelinton was able to nod it into the path of Bruno Guimaraes who was able to control the ball and take it into the area before firing beyond Bayindir to make it 4-1.

However, if you look at Tonali, before Bruno even receives the ball, the Italian has his hands in the air in celebration. He reads the game so well he saw the goal coming seconds before it actually happened.

Manchester United have big problems in goal

Whether it was a case of having full faith in his skipper's ability or if he was just celebrating Joelinton's quality interception, it was a funny moment that added to the enjoyment of the game.

We wonder if Tom Heaton will be chucked in at the deep end on Thursday for Manchester United because they clearly can't rely on Bayindir or Onana.

And to think, we moan about Nick Pope's passing. We'll take a wayward pass out of play over whatever the chuff those two are getting up to each week.
