PSG to offer Newcastle United three players as part of swap deal for Alexander Isak - Amazing

It looks like the French press (not a manual coffee strainer) have been on the same gear as the Spanish media as they have come up with an outstanding story regarding Paris Saint-Germain, Newcastle United and Alexander Isak.

The stories linking Alexander Isak to Barcelona have been quite amusing, but the gold star is going to France as things stand now.

French outlet RMCSport must have been having a slow news day yesterday, and this story was so outrageous we were just going to ignore it and let it fade into obscurity.

However, the news that Lewis Hall's season is over already has taken the wind out of our sails and we need a bit of a laugh, so here we go.

PSG to offer Marco Asensio, Goncalo Ramos and Randal Kolo Muani for Alexander Isak

According to RMCSport, PSG are set to offer Newcastle United Marco Asensio, Goncalo Ramos and Randal Kolo Muani as part of a swap deal for Alexander Isak.

The trio are worth in excess of £150 million according to The Telegraph (via NUFCBlog).

It took me all of five seconds to work out how this story was put together. All three of those players have at one time or another been linked to Newcastle United, so clearly some bored journalist has thought "Hmmm, what if PSG offered them all three of those players they want, I wonder if they'd let Isak go then?".

All three players would be good for Newcastle United but...

When I was told about this story last night my first reaction was "plus £100 million?". My friend and I agreed we'd take all three plus £80 million and then we'd consider the deal.

In the real world, of course we'd have all three of those players at Newcastle United, but at the expense of Isak? Nah, no thanks.

As we've said plenty of times before, Isak is literally impossible to replace. There is nobody out there like him right now, he's the best there is and that's why there's so much attention on him. He suits Newcastle, and we can never guarantee finding anyone who comes close right now. Isak stays.
