Newcastle United return to Premier League action on Wednesday night with an 7:30pm kick-off live on TNT Sports as Wolverhampton Wanderers visit St James' Park.

After back-to-back cup games, Newcastle are back to trying to climb into the Premier League's top four with a resurgent Wolves the next opponents standing in their way.

Vitor Pereira took over from Gary O'Neil at Wolves in December and he has made an instant impact and has managed to drag the Midlands side out of the relegation zone.

Newcastle are undefeated in eight games, however, and confidence will be high, but they must be on their guard against complacency.

Chris Sutton is buzzing for Jacob Murphy

Chris Sutton is very confident of a Newcastle United win

Chris Sutton doesn't believe complacency will be an issue for Newcastle though as he has predicted a big win for the Magpies in his column for the BBC.

"This is pretty straightforward as far as predictions go.

"Newcastle are on for a domestic Treble this season - well, on current form anyway - and I don't see their eight-game winning streak stopping here.

"Wolves had made a good start under new boss Vitor Pereira but they had their bubble burst by Nottingham Forest in their last league game, and I don't see them dealing with the Magpies' firepower.

"Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon have been great and Jacob Murphy is absolutely flying. I am really pleased for Murphy because a lot of people forget about him - but I haven't, I have got him in my Fantasy team.

Are Newcastle United title contenders?

I mean, Chris, we like to get a bit carried away at Feed Towers, but 'domestic treble'? Steady on, mate. We've got 11 points between us and Liverpool.

Wait ... 11 points? That's nowt. Can we? Nah, surely not. It's not beyond the realms of possibility though. Is it? Nah.

I tell you what ... LET'S GET CARRIED AWAY!
