Newcastle United Women have a new training ground to call home after a £5.2 million development.

While the men's team await news on their new home with a state-of-the-art multi-purpose training complex awaiting the green light, Newcastle's women will move to Newcastle University's Chochrane Park.

NUFC Women have had a stunning rise since the 2021 takeover, although they have hit a bit of a plateau since gaining promotion to the Championship.

Hopefully, some new surroundings will inspire Becky Langley's lasses to take things to the next level.

Newcastle United Women have moved to Newcastle University's Cochrane Park

As per the press release put out via the Newcastle United website, the new facilities will provide the ladies with their own dedicated training, medical and player care spaces at Cochrane Park. This includes exclusive access to three designated grass training pitches, which have been uplifted and maintained by our dedicated grounds staff, while also investing in a high-performance gym and recovery facilities.

The site will also provide office space for staff, as well as a player lounge, analysis room, and a purpose-built kitchen, including a dedicated team of chefs.

The site is also closer to the Men's training ground, making it feel even more like one connected club.

Grace Williams, Director of Women’s Football, told the official site:

"We are really pleased to have secured a new training base at Cochrane Park that gives us the opportunity to create our own elite facilities that we need to continue our progression on and off the pitch.

"This is an exciting step forward for the club and I would like to thank Newcastle University for their support throughout and we are excited to continue working with them."
