While Newcastle United fans are being made to wait until next year to find out what is going to happen with St James' Park, the club have not sat around waiting for a decision to be made.
Over the summer the club shop underneath the Gallowgate stand was closed for refurbishment following the start of the deal with Adidas.
Newcastle brought all the retail side of the business back in house as part of the £40 million-a-year deal with the German sportswear brand after Mike Ashley passed everything over to Castore.
Ahead of the launch of the new kits, Newcastle erected a temporary club shop outside of the ground, but Wednesday will see the doors open on the revamped club shop for the first time.
The official website has given some insight as to what the store will look like, with an enhanced layout; an increased number of till points; an 'experiential zone' with a 10-metre steel replica of the Tyne Bridge and huge one and half tonne 8K LED screen; a kit customisation area; and the largest range of kit and official product lines.
Chief Commercial Officer, Peter Silverstone has said that he can't wait for fans to see what they have done.
"We are incredibly excited to open the doors to our new club store at St. James' Park. The transformation is incredible.
"Alongside our partners, adidas, we have invested significantly into the store, and we are delighted to present our supporters with, what we believe, will be a world-class retail experience. We would like to put on record our sincere appreciation for all the support provided to us by adidas, alongside the many other contributors and contractors who supported the project.
Unfortunately there was no sneak peek so if you want to see what they've done, you'll have to head to St James' Park on Wednesday and see for yourself.
Or wait until the inevitable photographs hit the internet on Wednesday and, let's be honest here, Adam Pearson's video of him queuing up outside the ground for hours to be first through the doors.
The club has confirmed that the opening hours for the store at St. James' Park will be seven days a week, from 9am-6pm and 11am-5pm on Sundays. Opening hours will vary on matchdays in line with kick-off times.
