It has clearly been an emotional day for Amanda Staveley as Newcastle United played their first Premier League game since she and Mehrdad Ghodoussi departed the club.

This morning Amanda Staveley took to Instagram to wish the side good luck in their season opener, and then shortly before kick-off in the game against Southampton, Staveley was back on social media to leave a touching message for the fans.

As part of today's Wor Flags display, there was a banner for Amanda and Mehrdad to say Thank You which Staveley immediately posted to Instagram along with another touching message.

The Magpies went on to grab three points as a fitting tribute.

Staveley's message and Bruno's reply are just *chef's kiss*

'I will always be your Geordie girl' - Amanda Staveley

As touching as Staveley's message was, it was almost outdone by Bruno Guimaraes replying to it.

"I am both humbled and grateful for all the heartfelt messages of support today: I read every one, and wish I could reply to you all personally.
Seeing pictures of the stadium today made cry - thank you to Wor flags for all your incredible work today and over the last few years. I know better than most, the incredible work you all put in at every game. Our fans are the best - and there is nowhere better than St James’s. I will always be your Geordie girl… Wor Mandy"

To which Bruno Guimaraes replied: "One of us".

When there's love to be spread, Bruno is never far away

We love how much Bruno gets involved and shows the love.

Geordie celebrities Ant and Dec along with Donna Air also joined in with the showing of love with the presenting duo leaving a heart emoji while Donna Air said "Newcastle LOVES you".

We wonder if Amanda Staveley is starting to have second thoughts.
