Newcastle United have several players out on loan this season who are eager to find more game time or gain more experience.

For some players, things are working out well. Players like Harrison Ashby, Joe White and Max Thompson are all receiving consistent first team football and are making a positive impression with their respective clubs.

Miodrag Pivas, a summer signing hasn't featured much for Willem II but is still developing well.

One player who is having difficulties at his club is Jamie Miley, older brother of Lewis. The 20-year-old is currently out on loan at League Two side Newport County but it isn't going well for him at all.

Jamie Miley suffers yet another injury setback on loan

Last season, Miley had a spell on the side lines through injury while he was still involved with the under-21s. Since moving to Wales on loan things haven't gotten much better.

Newcastle World have reported that Miley is suffering from back spasms which have forced him out of the Newport squad.

There has not been any word on how long Miley will be out for but it is looking likely that he will miss Newport's game against AFC Wimbledon on Tuesday.

Miley already missed six weeks worth of action after undergoing hernia surgery - he didn't make his first league appearance until October.

A rocky season so far for Jamie Miley

Miley joined Newport in August but has only made five appearances in all competitions.

It's important that the 20-year-old makes a good impression on his loan spell with his contract with Newcastle winding down. The Magpies will have a decision to make at the end of the season on whether they want to keep him for another year.

Before the move to Newport, Miley made two appearances in the Premier League 2 for the under-21s. A 1-1 draw against local rivals Sunderland and a 1-0 win away at Tottenham where he bagged an assist.

Newcastle could also make the decision to recall Miley from his loan spell due to his injuries and lack of game time. No decision has been made yet.
