Nick Woltemade reinstated to staring lineup and full debut for summer signing - Our predicted NUFC XI to take on Bournemouth
Newcastle United travel to the south coast to take on Bournemouth on Sunday in a 2pm kick-off live on Sky Sports.
Eddie Howe is yet to win at the Vitality Stadium as Newcastle manager, but all streaks have to come to an end at some point, so why not on Sunday?
The Magpies boss will be forced into a couple of changes following the midweek game against Barcelona as Anthony Gordon serves the final game of his suspension and Fabian Schar rests up in a neck brace (not really, don't panic) after having his head taken off by a Marcus Rashford shot on Thursday night.
Gordon's suspension means Howe will start the game with an actual striker on the pitch. At least we hope so.
Goalkeeper
Nick Pope - Not much the big man could have done with either goal on Thursday. Made some big saves too. Still hanging on to that Number 1 spot.
Defenders
Kieran Trippier - We were tempted to bring Tino Livramento back to the right and start Lewis hall on the left, but we don't think Howe will want too many changes at the back in one go.
Malick Thiaw - Fabi confirmed he'll be missing this one, so the natural replacement is the former AC Milan man who looked outstanding in his cameo on Thursday.
Sven Botman - With Thiaw starting it makes sense that Howe starts the guy he was brought in to partner. Dan Burn has earned a rest in fairness.
Tino Livramento - Lewis Hall must be due a return to the starting lineup but with two centre-back changes it makes sense to stick it with a couple of regulars.
Midfielders
Bruno Guimaraes - You can't really mess with the midfield formula, especially when Joe Willock is your only other option. And you just can't drop Bruno.
Sandro Tonali - You also can't drop the Italian maestro. Is it too soon to call him world-class?
Joelinton - The one of the three who could be swapped out, but only for Jacob Ramsey, who is injured. Keep Joe Willock away.
Forwards
Anthony Elanga - Jacob Murphy is nursing an achilles problem, so it makes sense to start with Elanga, who had his best outing yet as a Newcastle player on Thursday.
Nick Woltemade - Was unfortunate to be dropped on Thursday, but he'll be back to lead the line on Sunday. Surely?
Harvey Barnes - Barnes has failed to make the left-wing spot his own, so this may well be the last game he starts for a while unless he does something spectacular.
When it gets to 62 minutes and Eddie Howe makes his traditional subs, we just hope that on this occasion, he brings on Lewis Miley and not Joe Willock. The lad will do something fantastic and then give the ball away nine times out of ten.
We know Willock has the pace that better suits our playstyle, but what use is pace if you can't do anything with the ball afterwards?
Our starting lineup has what it takes to break the Vitality curse for sure. Especially if they play with the intensity they did on Thursday in the opening half an hour.
