Newcastle United booked a date with Chelsea at St James' Park in the Carabao Cup fourth round with their 1-0 win over AFC Wimbledon in midweek.
The Dons and the Magpies knew who awaited them in the next round after their third round tie was postponed by a week and taking place after the fourth round draw was made. The winners would face Chelsea on their home turf, and it was Newcastle who (just) emerged victorious.
Now the date has been set for the fourth round showdown along with confirmation that the game will be televised live on Sky Sports.
Sky Sports+ is showing every game in the Carabao Cup this season, so the fact that the game is being shown live isn't a surprise.
The tie is scheduled to take place on Wednesday 30th October with kick-off at 7:45pm.
This does now mean that six of Newcastle's next eight games will be broadcast live starting with Saturday's 5:40pm game at Goodison Park. Huge thanks to Olly at NUFC Blog for putting together this handy list.
Saturday 5th October: Everton v Newcastle – 5.30pm (Sky Sports)
Saturday 19th October: Newcastle v Brighton – 3pm
Sunday 27th October: Chelsea v Newcastle – 2pm (Sky Sports)
Wednesday 30th October: Newcastle vs Chelsea – 7.45pm (Sky Sports+)
Saturday 2nd November: Newcastle v Arsenal – 12.30pm (TNT Sports)
Sunday 10th November: Nottingham Forest vs Newcastle – 2pm (Sky Sports)
Monday 25th November: Newcastle v West Ham – 8pm (Sky Sports)
Saturday 30th November: Crystal Palace v Newcastle – 3pm
The downside quite often with being selected for live broadcast is that it can often mess up people's long-term travel and accommodation plans as the kick-off times and dates get moved around.
On the plus side though, the more times we appear on TV, the more money the club gets and the less we have to worry about another PSR nightmare in the transfer window.
So far this season the Magpies have got off quite lightly in terms of stupid kick-off times and days that lead to travel chaos. Hopefully that continues as last season it seemed that every week fans were being told that they were going to be stuck in London overnight because the TV Overlords had moved our away game to a midweek fixture when there's no train service back to the North East.
