England boss Lee Carsley has made a couple of late additions to his England squad with the Nations League game against Greece set to be played on Thursday night.

Newcastle United's right-back Tino Livramento has been added to the squad alongside Liverpool's Curtis Jones.

Livramento was part of Lee Carsley's first England squad last month but never got to make his debut.

That seemingly pointless exercise looked even more pointless when the squad was announced for the October international break and Tino's name was nowhere to be seen.

Will Tino Livramento get to make his England debut now?

We questioned at the time why Carsley would call up Livramento and then not use him at all, even as a late substitute just to give him some experience, but then when Carsley opted to not call up Livramento again, we got to wonder what he'd done wrong.

HIs club form, while not amazing, certainly wasn't bad. In fact Livramento had been one of Newcastle's better players in the earlier games when even Anthony Gordon - who did get game time for England - was struggling.

Now that Carsley has added the former Southampton man to the squad, we wonder if he'll actually be given any time on the pitch.

We doubt Tino will feature against Greece on Thursday

We might be asking a bit much for our £40 million signing to be involved in tomorrow's game given his late call up, but with the game against Finland on Sunday, surely he can be given a run out.

At the end of the day, the Nations League is a load of codswallop anyway, they're just friendlies with a UEFA tag on them to try and get people to care about them.

Give Tino a chance!
