With Lewis Miley's contract with Adidas expiring, sportswear brands from all over the world were fighting to sign the Newcastle United wonderkid as a partner.
Tipped by many to be a huge star in the game, Lewis Miley was hot property as his Adidas deal counted down and now that the dust has settled, it is American sportswear giants Under Armour who have won the race to sign Lewis Miley as their face of the brand.
Miley will replace Liverpool and England star Trent Alexander-Arnold as the face of Under Armor's northern operations in the UK according to The Daily Mail.
Lewis Miley burst onto the scene last season after he became a regular starter for Eddie Howe due to a horrific injury crisis at the club which really stretched the club's paper-thin squad.
Unfortunately, Miley became a casualty of the injury curse at the back end of the season and then picked up another bad injury in pre-season and is only now returning to action.
Miley is joining Real Madrid's Antonio Rudiger as part of the Under Armour family who are confident that Miley will soon be a fixture in the England national side.
They also believe that Miley will appeal to the younger generation of football fans and could draw a lot of attention to their brand.
This will likely be a huge confidence boost for Miley not to mention a nice financial one.
We feel that Miley may not make anywhere near as many appearances this season as he did last with Eddie Howe having more players available to him, but he's still going to be in and around that first team.
Hopefully we'll be seeing more of him soon - he can't break into that England squad if he's not playing, can he?
