Amid all of the speculation around the future of Alexander Isak, it's not hard to forget that Newcastle United are also fending off interest from Manchester City for Tino Livramento.

When Newcastle United signed Tino Livramento from Southampton for £32 million back in 2023, many people thought that the Magpies had taken a huge risk paying so much for a player who had missed so much football through injury.

Two years on, Tino Livramento is coming off the back of a stellar season with Newcastle, which also saw him called up to the senior England side, before Lee Carsley asked him to return to the Under-21s in the summer to help England retain their U21 European Championship crown.

Livramento ended up showing his versatility by covering at left back for Newcastle last season after an ACL injury ended Lewis Hall's season early, and Lee Carsley even took advantage of Livramento's ability to switch flanks for England. Livramento's progress didn't go unnoticed by other clubs either.

Newcastle are looking to offer Tino Livramento a new deal to keep him at the club

With Kyle Walker leaving Manchester City, Pep Guardiola is looking for someone to take over the mantle, and he has set his sights on Newcastle's Livramento. However, the Magpies have promised to keep hold of their star players this summer, of whom Livramento is counted as one.

Now, The Times are reporting that Newcastle are ready to make Tino Livramento one of their highest earners and offer him a six-year deal in a bid to fend off any interest from outside.

Like Alexander Isak, Livramento's existing deal runs to 2028, so there's no immediate rush to offer new terms, but the club would like to reward them both with new contracts after proving their worth.

Man City are willing to pay £65 million for Tino Livramento

Manchester City are reportedly prepared to offer £65 million for the 22-year-old, and while they have the financial muscle to offer more money to the player in wages than Newcastle are likely able to, Eddie Howe will be hoping that some loyalty will come into play.

Livramento helped the Magpies lift their first domestic trophy in 70 years last season, proving that the club is on an upwards trajectory. The club are hoping that it means something to the players who are being hunted by 'bigger' clubs.

While our confidence in Isak remaining a Newcastle player is being tested, we're pretty sure that Tino Livramento has no designs on leaving Newcastle this summer, and we get the feeling that Manchester City know that too.
