Right wing is a priority position for Newcastle United to improve in the next couple of transfer windows.
The Magpies would ideally like to bring in a new top-quality right-winger in January but the winter transfer window is often less than ideal for getting big business done, so they may be made to wait until the summer.
Bryan Mbuemo from Brentford remains a fan-favourite target, but if there was one thing we learned this summer it was to not put all your eggs in one basket.
Newcastle will assess other options other than Mbuemo, and TeamTalk believe that Eddie Howe could turn his attentions back to West Ham's Jarrod Bowen.
Bowen has been linked to Newcastle several times and at one point was on his way to the North East to sign for Steve Bruce before we pulled out of the deal over the fee.
A few years on and Bowen is an England regular and West Ham's highest earner and possibly their most important player.
Which means that dragging him away from the Hammers won't be easy, or indeed, cheap.
West Ham are having a poor start to the season and Bowen hasn't got close to the form he's capable of which might have prompted Newcastle to look in his direction again, thinking they can revive his career.
Unfortunately, for Newcastle, though, Bowen has a contract at the Hammers until 2030 which will make the deal almost impossible to pull off unless Bowen agitates for the move.
The other thing about a move for Bowen is that it would more than likely have to wait until Summer whereas a move for Bryan Mbeumo could possibly happen in January, and on current form, would be the better option.
