Newcastle United summer signing already linked with January exit but it's not the one you're hoping it is
Newcastle United's summer recruitment has been way more miss than hit so far this season, it's safe to say, but whether the Magpies are ready to call time on their experiments and send their new recruits on their way is highly unlikely.
Anthony Elanga has been absolutely awful since his £55 million move from Nottingham Forest, and there probably wouldn't be many fans who'd be opposed to seeing him moved on already.
It's highly unlikely that Newcastle, and Eddie Howe in particular, would throw in the towel on the Swedish international just yet. As we keep saying, we're very aware that there's a good player in there and we expect he will come good eventually.
However, of all the summer recruits, if we had to sell any of them, he'd be top of our list. Unfortunately, he's not the £55 million summer signing who is being linked with an exit this month.
Fenerbahce want Newcastle United striker Yoane Wissa, according to Turkish media
Turkish outlet Sporx are reporting that Fenerbahce are interested in signing Yoane Wissa from Newcastle just six months after his big-money move.
Newcastle had to wait over four months for Wissa to make his debut, and while he hasn't been the answer to all our prayers, there's no denying he offers us something different in attack.
Wissa pushed hard to get his move to Newcastle in the summer, too and seems absolutely delighted that he's finally a Magpie.
Fenerbache would only want to loan Yoane Wissa
To add insult to injury, it's thought that Fenerbahce would be looking to loan Wissa from Newcastle for the remainder of the season.
There's just no way there's any chance of this happening. Newcastle have just two fit senior strikers and letting one leave just six months after joining and having only made 12 appearances for the club it absolutely out of the question.
Newcastle will have no intention of letting him go, Wissa will have no intention of moving. Fenerbahce may admire him, but they're certainly barking up the wrong tree with this one.
