Newcastle United have a representative in the Premier League's September Player of the Month competition.
While Newcastle haven't exactly set the world alight with their football so far this season, there was one pretty consistent performer for the Magpies last month.
Harvey Barnes has ben Newcastle's biggest source for goals so far this season with three goals to his name putting him ahead of Anthony Gordon and Alexander Isak.
His exploits have been deemed worthy of putting him in contention of being the Premier League player of the month.
Barnes has to contend with Anthony Gordon for the left-wing spot at Newcastle despite Eddie Howe experimenting with ways to play the duo together.
With Alexander Isak injured, Gordon is set to play through the middle which gives Harvey Barnes a bigger chance of keeping his place in the starting XI.
Being nominated for Player of the Month may also help to influence Eddie Howe to keep trying to find a way to start with Barnes on the pitch.
Barnes is joined by some top players including Cole Palmer of Chelsea and Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins.
