Newcastle United squad number hint as Anthony Elanga pictured in training with new team mates in Austria
Newcastle United recently completed the signing of Anthony Elanga from Nottingham Forest for £55 million.
The Swedish international has now flown out to Austria with the rest of the squad for a warm-weather training camp up in the mountains.
Newcastle will spend the week in Austria before heading home at the weekend for a friendly against Celtic at Celtic Park.
Today, the club's official site has posted a gallery of the lads on their first day of training in Austria, while other images have popped up on social media. Eagle-eyed fans have spotted what could be a big hint for the season ahead.
Has Anthony Elanga's squad number been revealed?
We're still a few weeks away from confirming our squad list for the new season, and as such, squad numbers can still change.
It has been reported that Alexander Isak will be offered the Number 9 shirt now that Callum Wilson has vacated it, although there's a strong possibility he opts to stick with the number 14 as it has meaning to him.
It's always a big question as to what number the new signings will be wearing, and fans have been given a clue as to what number they may have to get on their shirts to accompany the name of Elanga.
Come in, Number 25?
While training, Elanga has been spotted sporting the number 25 on his training kit.
Whether this is just a placeholder squad number before the final changes are made remains to be seen, but we expect that's the number he'll be wearing should he play a part against Celtic on Saturday.
We wouldn't rush out to get our new shirts printed just yet, however, as we say, there's plenty of time for his number to change.
