Newcastle United have scouts all over the world looking for exciting young talent to bring to the club and nurture into first-team players.

More realistically, what Newcastle are doing is looking for exciting young talent to bring to the club and send them out on loan to an unknown club in a third-tier country where they still won't get a game.

Hopefully, that's a trend that will soon stop with Ross Wilson and David Hopkinson far less likely to tolerate that kind of business.

If the club can do a quick course correction with young Spanish star Antonio Cordero who got sent out to the bottom of the Belgian Pro League to rot, there's more chance that Newcastle can continue to look like an attractive proposition for young talent.

Alex Toth - The next Dominik Szoboszlai?

Alex Toth is on Newcastle's radar and has been compared to Dominik Szoboszlai

According to TEAMtalk, Newcastle already have their eye on their next young prodigy. 20-year-old Hungarian Alex Toth, who currently plays for Ferencvaros.

Toth has been likened to fellow Hungarian Domink Szoboszlai, who Newcastle were interested in before he chose to move to Liverpool.

It seems the Premier League champions are also keen to repeat that feat with Toth and perhaps with Szoboszlai among their ranks; they hold the advantage here.

If the Dominik Szoboszlai comparisons ring true then we hope the interest is real

It's reported that whoever does take Toth from Ferencvaros would have to break the Hungarian transfer record to do so, although that record stands at just over £5 million, so we don't need to panic too much.

Toth is expected to fetch anywhere up to £13.5 million, which would be a bargain if the Szoboszlai comparisons turn out to be accurate.

Borussia Dortmund and Brighton are also keen on Alex Toth, so it won't be straightforward for Newcastle if they are truly weighing up a bid for the youngster.

We're not going to pretend we know a great deal about him, but the Szoboszlai comparisons have us intrigued. Hopefully, there's some truth here.
