Newcastle United continue to run the rule over several players ahead of what's expected to be a busy summer transfer window - well, busier than this one at least.
We still aren't convinced that the summer window is going to be one to get us all bouncing around our living rooms with excitement, but we do expect considerably more action than we've got over the past three windows.
One player Newcastle are heavily linked with is Lille striker Jonathan David with Steve Nickson recently in France watching Lille take on Nice.
However, The Daily Mail are now reporting that it wasn't just Jonathan David who Nickson compiled a report on that night.
Newcastle are said to be keen on Icelandic midfielder Hakon Arnar Haraldsson as are Manchester United who also compiled a report on the 21-year-old while their scouts were out there watching Jonathan David.
Heraldsson can play centre-midfield and as a winger and has been compared to Luka Modric for is ball control.
Newcastle famously missed on the real Luka Modric after the club deemed him too small to play in the Premier League, so hopefully, we won't make the same mistake twice.
Heraldsson has 19 caps for Iceland already and has picked up four goals and two assists in 19 appearances for Lille in all competitions this season.
He has played as a central midfielder, attacking midfielder and left-winger for Lille this season and with Newcastle weighing up a potential sale of Harvey Barnes, Newcastle may look to bring in Heraldsson as cover for Anthony Gordon.
The right-wing is the priority for Newcastle, though, along with a centre-forward, so we're not sure how high up the list Heraldsson will be for Newcastle in the summer.
