Newcastle United reach out over availability of England international this summer after failed attempt last year

Newcastle United have blown the dust off another scout report ahead of the summer transfer window.

There haven't been many players linked with Newcastle over the last couple of years whose names haven't resurfaced as a potential summer transfer link.

Milan Live are now reporting that Newcastle have Fikayo Tomori back in their sights after the AC Milan star rejected a move last summer.

AC Milan could be looking to sell Fikayo Tomori

The former Chelsea defender could be set for a return to the Premier League as AC Milan look to raise funds for their own transfer window.

Newcastle looked at Tomori last summer but he had reportedly said it didn't feel like a move to Newcastle would be a forward step in his career, however Milan Live claim the Magpies have reached out again over his potential availability this summer.

With Milan looking to cash in on the five-times capped England defender, will his stance have softened? Our final league position could go a long way to convincing him that Newcastle can be a good move.

Forget about Fikayo Tomori and go for Malick Thiaw

At 27, though, is he now beyond the limit of what Paul Mitchell will be looking at, especially given Newcastle's admiration of his 23-year-old defensive partner, Malick Thiaw.

For us, it would make more sense to go for Thiaw again as he seemed more open to the move last year, is younger and has the potential to be way better than Tomori.

If Milan are looking to sell to raise funds, they would likely be open to a deal too.

Let's forget about Tomori and go back in for Thiaw.
