Newcastle United fans are still awaiting the results of the feasibility study which has been carried out to determine the best course of action for the club's home in the future.

While the majority of fans are hoping that the study can deliver a plan which sees St James' Park's capacity increased and the ground modernised, there is still the possibility that an entirely new stadium could be built elsewhere.

The idea of moving from St James' Park often elicits a strong emotional response from fans given the club's long history at the ground and its iconic position in the city.

Given the location of the stadium though, with the Metro station at one end and listed buildings behind the East Stand, it's far from an easy task to just add another few thousand seats.

Adidas opted not to put their logo on the Gallowgate End roof

Speaking of new seats - the smoothest segue you'll see all day - Newcastle United posted an image of the Milburn Stand on social media this afternoon showing all new seats in the stand displaying the Adidas three stripe logo.

We thought it was a bit strange that after the Castore wings were pulled down from the Gallowgate roof no Adidas logos were put up in their place.

It seems that the German sportswear giant had other ideas for how to draw attention to their partnership with the club.

Fans on X are impressed with the new-look East Stand

Unlike many other grounds up and down the country, though, you'll not see that Adidas logo on match days as the Toon Army does not do empty seats.

You might be lucky to get a glimpse of it at the start of the second half as people return from the concourses a bit late, but that's your whack.

Fans have been quick to react to the image on X calling it 'beautiful' and 'amazing'. It certainly adds that little bit of ... je ne sais quoi to the stadium that's for sure. Magnifique.
