Newcastle United aren't expected to make big waves in the transfer market this month in a bid to keep as much of their available funds for the summer.

However, there have been a few players linked with an exit this month, with the likes of Will Osula, Kieran Trippier and Jamaal Lascelles futures called into question.

Will Osula almost left the club on deadline day in the summer, but his move to Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt fell through after the German club refused to add an option to buy in their loan deal.

Since then, Frankfurt have retained an interest in the Danish forward, as have Aston Villa.

Ben Parkinson is headed to the Scottish Premier League

Newcastle have completed the sale of Ben Parkinson to Falkirk

But it's another young striker who has become the first player out the door on a permanent basis this month, as Ben Parkinson has joined Falkirk.

The 20-year-old has been a regular goalscorer at Under 21 level for Newcastle and was even given an opportunity to shine in the first team, but when he did come on, he looked miles off being ready.

That doesn't mean that Newcastle had given up on him, and they clearly expect big things from Parkinson as they have inserted a sell-on clause into the deal.

Ben Parkinson will be one to watch up in Scotland

Newcastle won't have received a whopper of a fee for Parkinson, but movement is movement.

We wish Parkinson all the best up in Scotland, and we're sure he will become a goal machine in the SPL.

The question now is, who's next?
