Newcastle United are looking to add more firepower to their squad in the January transfer window
The Magpies are seriously struggling in front of goal this season. Scoring just 13 goals in 12 games, the fourth lowest in the league.
Eddie Howe's side have also only got five different goal scorers this season, joint lowest this season.
It's clear that something needs to change and although Alexander Isak has scored four Premier League goals this season he can't always be relied on.
Callum Wilson only just returned but can't be trusted to stay fit. New signing William Osula has been limited to just 10 minutes of gametime in the Premier League this season and doesn't look ready for first team football yet.
Marmoush has set the Bundesliga alight this season getting involved in 18 goals in as many games for Eintracht Frankfurt carrying his form from last campaign into this one.
The Egyptian forward seems happy to stay at the Bundesliga outfit for the time being. In summer, he rejected a late move to Nottingham Forest.
TBR have reported that Newcastle, Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal are all keen on signing the 25-year-old who has been hailed as someone who can become better than fellow countryman Mo Salah.
Should a deal be struck for him, clubs are looking at around a £50million fee.
Frankfurt's Head of sports Markus Krosche recently commented on the prospect of Marmoush leaving the club and refused to rule out a sale.
However, Sporting director Timmo Hardung told Win Win:
“It is clear that players like Omar have their own market value in the transfer market,
“At the moment, we are not looking to sell him. We are very happy with him at our club.
“We will see what happens in the summer. Who knows? He might stay. There is definitely a possibility that he will stay next summer, [that] we will not let him go.
“He has a great personality, he is an excellent footballer. There is no reason to let go of a player like him. It is better for us to have him here with us and strive to achieve something big.”
In a player of Marmoush's form, it would be an ideal signing for Newcastle who are incredibly keen to increase the number of goals within the squad.
