Newcastle United have officially launched their away kit for the upcoming season and it's a beauty.

New kit supplier Adidas have paid homage to the classic 1995/96 away shirt, the iconic red and blue striped kit with their latest terrific piece of work.

This follows the modern reimagining of the 2001/03 home kit and 1999/00 strip which will act as our third kit for the season and was recently donned by the Magpies in Japan and their second Sela Cup game against Brest.

Adidas has hit the nail on the head with these kits and even more so with their marketing of them.

Adidas pay homage to old and new in the latest Newcastle kit launch.

The Newcastle social media page have been alluding to something special over the last few days.

When the time came, wow did Adidas deliver! Fans have been treated to a 95-second video with Toon fans on a train from Newcastle Central Station.

In the video, we see several former Newcastle stars.

Rob Lee serving bottles of Brown Ale from a cart with Shay Given catching a loose bottle.

We then see Eddie Howe reading Sir Bobby Robson's autobiography before Jason Tindall does his signature "shush"

Newcastle legends aplenty

The advert is filled with so many classic nods to current and former players. At one point we see Nobby Solano in the train's toilet playing the trumpet.

We also get a shot of Sean Longstaff on Joelinton's phone with a nod to Frank Chippa's comical holiday tweet from last year with a shout to his brother Matty.

Towards the end, the camera pans along the train as we see Gavin Peacock, Lee Clark and Steve Watson chanting along in their seats with a flag in the background that says "Pavel is a Geordie".

A fitting nod to the former keeper.
